Rizal graduated with a degree in Sociology of Religion from Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, where his academic dedication and exemplary character earned him the Mahasiswa Teladan Mutu (Outstanding Student Award) in 2021.

With a strong foundation in social, educational, and religious issues, Rizal has actively contributed to grassroots movements through an initiative called Lentera Hidup. This platform focuses on critical societal challenges such as social inequality, the criminalization of education, and overexploitation in urban development, translating these issues into impactful media advocacy and mass mobilization efforts.

Currently, Rizal serves as the Media and Communications Manager at Damar Nusantara. In this role, he uses his expertise to enhance the foundation’s mission of addressing climate change, education, and social innovation, ensuring that the organization’s message reaches diverse audiences effectively.
